Who needs to apply?

  3. Submit your application at least 30 days before your event.

Application Guidelines

ALL DRIVERS: Drivers competing in TrackBattle, GRIDLIFE wheel-to-wheel (GLTC, GLGT, Rush SR), and Full-Course Drift must apply for a GRIDLIFE Competition License. Applications must be submitted no later than 30 days prior to your first event.
Please note: Skidpad/Kart Track Drift drivers do not need to hold a competition license to drive.

Qualification Requirements

  • Drivers with Existing Competition Licenses: If you hold a valid competition license (in good standing) from another established motorsports organization, you will likely qualify for a provisional GRIDLIFE Competition License.

  • Advanced Drivers: Drivers with significant track time in an Advanced level of HPDE (High-Performance Driver Education) environment may apply for a provisional Time Attack License.

  • Non-Licensed Drivers: Applications from non-licensed drivers will be reviewed by the GRIDLIFE competition licensing team. Licensing decisions may take up to 15 days from submission.

What happens if I do not get approved?

  • We understand this may be disappointing, but all drivers need to meet our minimum standards to create the desired on-track environment. We encourage people to continue refining their skills and gaining more experience, and re-apply once they have the prerequisite experience. Any refund or entry transfer request will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of GRIDLIFE staff. Driver entries may be transferable, but Licenses are non-transferable.

Application Fee

  • $125 GRIDLIFE Members

  • $200 Non-Members

  • An approved competition license is valid for one (1) year from purchase date
