ABOUT TRACKBATTLE

GRIDLIFE TrackBattle puts both safety and fun first. The approachable rule set makes it easy for longtime Track Day drivers to transition to competitive driving without the complexities and costs of other sanctioning bodies. Each competitor will run in a primary competition group based on modifications and tire choice.

  • You do not need to be pre-licensed to register for GRIDLIFE Time Attack.

  • Drivers who already hold a TT or Comp License from SCCA or other sanctioning body will be automatically approved for a GL TrackBattle Comp license.

  • Drivers new to GRIDLIFE and Time Attack will need to go through a competition evaluation during their first event.

Festival Tour Events

-Practice: 2 sessions, grouped by pace

-Qualifying: 3 sessions grouped by class. Top 5 from each class advance to Podium Sprint

-Podium Sprint: Each qualifier runs 2 solo flying laps to set the podium

TRACKBATTLE CLASSIC

Club Circuit Events

-Competition Sessions: 6 sessions, grouped by pace

-Fastest lap of weekend wins

GRIDLIFE SundaeCup

LOW COST VEHICLES / MINIMAL BOLT-ON MODIFICATIONS

Cheap. Fun. SundaeCup is an entry level Time Attack class designed for maximum track time per dollar. This class is designed to create tight competition in daily driven vehicles with minimum modification.

  • 25:1 Factory power to weight ratio

  • Spec Falken RT660 Tire 205 Width

  • Minor bolt ons allowed

GRIDLIFE ClubTR

MINOR MODS AND BASIC SWAPS

#GRIDLIFE ClubTR, our Track Rat class, is focused on daily drivable street cars with common trackday mods. A light prep class, with a focus on “drivermod” to get new personal best laptimes. 225-300whp is typical for cars in this class.

  • N/A 2.5L and under. Forced induction 1.6L and under.

  • Spec Falken RT660 Tire 255 Width.

  • Minor bolt ons allowed.

GRIDLIFE STREET

ENTHUSIAST CLASS / BOLT ON AND BUILDER MODS

#GRIDLIFE Street is the first rung of the of the “Street” class TrackBattle ladder. Great for modern turbocharged and AWD vehicles, and lightweight N/A cars.  Street class is a great entry point for drivers that also want to modify their cars. 300-400whp is typical for cars in this class. 

  • 200tw tires

  • Factory aero only

  • Full-bolt on modifications

GRIDLIFE STREET GT

ENTHUSIAST CLASS / MODERN MUSCLE CARS BASIC MODIFICATIONS

#GRIDLIFE StreetGT class is focused on large displacement 5,6,8 cylinder vehicles, with similar mods to the lower #GRIDLIFE Street class. These heavier cars are granted much larger tire allowances. 350-475whp is typical. 

  • 200tw tires, up to 315wide

  • Factory aero only

  • No internal engine modifications

GRIDLIFE StreetMod

BUILDERS CLASS SIGNIFIGANT MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED

#GRIDLIFE StreetMod class is the top rung of the Street Class ladder. Cars and drivers can modify vehicles to maximize the potential of 200tw tires. Highly modified street cars are common, but vehicles remain registered and plated. The challenge for StreetMod is both building and driving a car capable of chasing street tire records.  Excellent class for those desire to extensively modify street cars, with lots of crossover between GRIDLIFE and other racing series. 450-700whp is typical for cars at the front of the field.

  • Aftermarket aero allowed

  • No horsepower restrictions

  • Full interiors required

GRIDLIFE TrackMod

MODERN SUPERCARS WITH MINIMAL MODS TO ENTHUSIAST TRACK CARS

#GRIDLIFE TrackMod (Track Modern) class is built for cars that are faster than the StreetMod class and catch a wide variety of vehicles, from modern supercars to traditional time attack cars with smaller or simpler engines. There are two aerodynamic options to balance a wide variety of vehicles.

  • Stock chassis w/ engine swaps allowed

  • Active aero prohibited unless OEM equipped

  • DOT approved tires, 100 TW or more

GRIDLIFE UNLIMITED

ALL THE MODS ALLOWED SPACE SHIPS ON WHEELS

#GRIDLIFE Unlimited Class is for the time attack “space ships”. Wild aero mods on cars consistently exceeding 800whp take the track in a quest to lay down the single perfect lap on any given weekend. 

  • Racing slicks allowed

  • No aero restrictions

  • Extensive safety equipment required
