Position Overview

The Live Stream Moderator plays a critical role in enhancing the viewer experience during the GRIDLIFE CMP livestream. This individual is responsible for real-time chat moderation, fan engagement, and social clipping during the broadcast. They ensure that the livestream community is welcoming and well-managed, while also surfacing key moments from the stream for rapid deployment on GRIDLIFE’s social channels. The role is equal parts community management, digital engagement, and content production.

Key Responsibilities

Chat Moderation & Community Engagement

  • Actively monitor livestream chat across YouTube, Twitch, or other platforms during the entire broadcast window

  • Enforce community guidelines by moderating spam, inappropriate behavior, or off-topic discussions

  • Encourage audience participation, respond to comments, and promote engagement using brand-appropriate voice

  • Highlight viewer questions and comments for on-air talent when applicable

Real-Time Content Surfacing

  • Identify and timestamp key moments from the livestream (e.g., close battles, incidents, great passes, interviews)

  • Coordinate with the social team and content producers to flag top clips in real-time

  • Assist in crafting real-time captions or social post text for immediate sharing of viral content

Collaboration & Workflow Support

  • Maintain direct communication with broadcast team, social team, and video editors throughout the day

  • Ensure timely delivery of clips or timestamps to maximize relevance and engagement

  • Provide basic logs of clipped moments and community trends during the event

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience moderating livestreams or online communities (Twitch, YouTube, etc.)

  • Familiarity with motorsports, car culture, or esports is strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to write quickly and clearly in a brand-aligned tone

  • Ability to multitask and operate calmly under pressure in a live environment

  • Knowledge of livestream platforms and basic video clipping tools is a plus

  • Familiarity with stream moderation tools (Nightbot, StreamElements, etc.) is helpful but not required

Schedule & Requirements

  • Must be available during full livestream windows for GRIDLIFE CMP (exact hours TBD based on event schedule)

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection

  • Access to a desktop or laptop with multi-tab monitoring capability

  • Slack and Google Workspace proficiency for team communications
