#GRIDLIFE ANNOUNCES FIRST SEASON OF DRIFT FOR 2020

GRIDLIFE is stoked to announce that #GRIDLIFEDrift will be added to select regular season TrackBattle events this year, joining Time Attack and the GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC) as season-long motorsports in 2020 programming. Previously only offered at the GRIDLIFE Festival events, drift drivers will be able to apply for Full Course Drift tickets for up to three additional Track Day weekends during the season, for a total of five events.

Efforts to further incorporate drift into the regular season of events have been progressing for a few years, and GRIDLIFE is happy to send it into 2020. Expect to see drift regulars joining the paddock at more events with the field of grip GRIDLIFERS driving Time Attack, GLTC Wheel to wheel racing, and High Performances Driver Education.

GRIDLIFE and the Drifting community have always gone hand in hand. It's all about progression and I believe this next chapter of #GRIDLIFEDrift has been a long time coming. I'm excited to bring the entertainment and excitement of Drifting to more of the GRIDLIFE Season Schedule in 2020!

- Nick Swann - #GRIDLIFEDrift Lead

The decision to expand Drift into more events is not only a benefit to the Drift community, but it also brings excitement, chaos and energy on track to GRIDLIFE fans, outside of the Festivals, through the regular season.

It’s been great to watch the sport of drift gain respect and popularity within the grip driver community at GRIDLIFE over the years. From skepticism in the first year drift came to Midwest Festival, to grip drivers live-streaming Formula Drift rounds in their trailers at GRIDLIFE track weekends, it’s been awesome to watch the sport get accepted, and even celebrated within our growing community.

- Chris Stewart - #GRIDLIFE Founder

Being able to offer full course drifting at facilities is a privilege and opportunity that GRIDLIFE takes seriously, so there is a robust application process for drivers who would like to drive at these events. Each event will have an advance application that is reviewed by our Drift panel. Approved drivers are notified, and in the case of the GRIDLIFE Midwest and Alpine Horizon Festivals, approved drivers are announced LIVE for the 2020 Drift Draft broadcasts, in partnership with our friends at Maximum Driftcast.

Drift applications are now open for the GRIDLIFE Midwest Festival - June 4 - 7 at Gingerman Raceway! Apply Now. Applications for the Alpine Horizon Festival will be mid February, stay tuned for updates.

The Midwest Drift Draft broadcast is tentatively scheduled for March, with the Alpine Horizon Drift Draft scheduled for late April / early May.

We are very excited to announce this list of events for the first season of GRIDLIFE Drift:
