GRIDLIFE TRACKBATTLE "BAYOU BASH" COMING TO NOLA: NOV 7 - 8
GRIDLIFE RETURNS TO THE SOUTH
Sunday, August 16th, 2020 – Chicago, IL – GRIDLIFE and the NOLA Motorsports Park are teaming up to execute a special stage motorsports weekend called the “#GRIDLIFE TrackBattle Bayou Bash”, scheduled for the weekend of November 7-8.
The Bayou Bash will use NOLA’s many surfaces to feature the motorsports GRIDLIFE is known for, with a heavy emphasis on drift. Drift programming will range from beginners learning to go sideways at NOLA’s Drift school, to amateur drivers, and some familiar faces from GRIDLIFE’s Pro Drift friends.
“The emphasis on further developing and incorporating drift into our event schedules is in line with the GRIDLIFE philosophy of Motorsports Inclusion, and follows our announcement earlier in 2020 that promised more drift at more TrackBattle weekend events.”
- Shawn Fenton - GRIDLIFE Strategy Director
Outside of the Drift activities, GRIDLIFE will have its HPDE program, TrackBattle Time Attack racing, and GRIDLIFE Touring Cup wheel to wheel racing.
The Bayou Bash represents the first in a series of events making up GRIDLIFE’s “Residency” at the NOLA facility. The GRIDLIFE Residency’s aim is to create an environment, in partnership with NOLA, where GRIDLIFE can execute a variety of motorsports experiences across everything the NOLA facility provides in order to serve the community developed out of four years at GRIDLIFE South.
“Since our first conversations with GRIDLIFE, we knew we had the same goal: create incredible experiences for drivers and spectators on and off the track. Today, we’re announcing a special partnership to build something great in motorsports. With our 5 race surfaces, over 1100 acres, and our combined expertise in events, we can’t wait to see what we build through this Residency.
- Dennis Lomonaco - NOLA Motorsport General Manager
