T-Pain Headlines Music Lineup at GRIDLIFE Laguna Festival

GRIDLIFE Heads West for first-time ever, with 175 cars set to race

MONTEREY, California (October 4, 2023) – Grammy award winning artist T-Pain will headline the main stage at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca this month when the GRIDLIFE Festival tour comes to the west coast for the first time ever October 20-22.

The GRIDLIFE Laguna Festival is a music and motorsport event featuring a performance by T-Pain and a host of support artists, alongside the expected 175 race cars scheduled to compete over the course of the Festival weekend. A show car Concours, a retro arcade, late-night karaoke and more will keep the off-track party going long after dark. Tickets are available now at www.gridlifelaguna.com.

T-Pain’s first thrill ride in a drift car at GRIDLIFE in Atlanta back in 2019 inspired him to start his own motorsport division, Nappy Boy Automotive. He rejoined the GRIDLIFE community earlier this year at Lime Rock Park as a driver, drifting his Ford Mustang RTR. Now he is back to headline the main stage at GRIDLIFE Laguna.

Motorsport entries sold out in minutes for GRIDLIFE Laguna, with 100 cars set to race GRIDLIFE’s NOS Energy TrackBattle Time Attack and 50 more in the wheel-to-wheel GRIDLIFE Touring Cup competition. Some 25 of the best drift drivers in the world will run fan-favorite freestyle drift sessions all weekend long. A video of the GRIDLIFE experience is now live on the GRIDLIFE YouTube.

“When we pair a live music experience with an amazing on-track show, we know we are sharing our enthusiasm for car culture with a whole new audience,” said Chris Stewart, GRIDLIFE Founder. “The best compliment we can get is when someone comes to our events one year as a spectator and then returns the next with a car to drive on track or display in the GRIDLIFE Concours.”

The GRIDLIFE Concours invites up to 100 curated vehicles from the ‘80s, ‘90s and early 2000s to join a special display. These vehicles are selected from a pool of applicants and owners receive a free ticket for the event weekend. GRIDLIFE Concours spots are filling up fast.

At GRIDLIFE Laguna, the GLTC Championship will be decided as Jeremy Swenson takes on local drivers and defends from James Houghton, Luke McGrew, and Matt Waldbaum. Swenson aims to be the first repeat champion in GRIDLIFE Touring Cup history after winning in his rookie season in 2021.

The track’s Production Car Record is in sight for Dewey Dewitt as the GRIDLIFE TrackBattle championship leader aims to lock up the Street Modified championship and etch his name into the record book. GRIDLIFE newcomer Robin Shute, meanwhile, has the overall track record in his sights. The four-time Pikes Peak Hill Climb winner crushed the Willow Springs track record this past weekend in his Wolf racecar during a fun run at a GRIDLIFE club day.
