#GRIDLIFE Touring Cup made its way to Road Atlanta for the 5th stop on the inaugural calendar. Picking up some steam from the band of w2w racers in the southeast, this GLTC battle hosted 38 drivers with cars varying from old Volvos to K-swapped miatas.

The beautiful and treacherous ribbon of pavement called Road Atlanta played host to the 5th weekend of Gridlife Touring Cup during Gridlife ATL festival. A large field of huge variety provided more stories than can be told as nearly 40 club racers attempted to find the finish line before any others they took the grid with. Some of the cleanest racing we've seen at this track, in any series, resulted.

Tensions were high for the first start, and as cars went five wide towards turn 1, breathing stopped for all in view. Perfection amongst the huge field was the goal, and it was achieved as all cars continued on towards the esses unscathed.

Each race proved as exciting as the others. Drama with broken cars, loose connectors, and relays falling out of fuse boxes upon hard landings over turn 3 provided stories for the paddock and the livestream. The diversity on track, from Zach Grant's nearly half century old Volvo, to the HMA Honda Odyssey van driven by Karl Hertel, was almost too much to believe.

In the end, it was Robert Manouchehri’s consistency that earned him a commanding lead and the top spot on the overall podium. Chris Tuttell and Erik Kutil were neck and neck and took 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The GRIDLIFE Season will conclude in 2 weeks at the TrackBattle Finals at Road America. Expect a dramatic finish to an incredible season, as all competitors converge on this iconic 4 mile circuit to battle it out for the final podium victories.
